Who We Are
Started 7 years ago, we minister to men and women in the jails in Bedford Co. Va. by sharing the gospel and meeting spiritual needs. We oversee a GED program and a life skills training session each week for inmates incarcerated on the Home Electronic Monitoring program.
Our Vision
First and foremost, our vision is to share the Gospel with those incarcerated. Additionally, the meeting of mental, emotional and security needs are crucial to a life outside prison walls. By looking at each inmate as a whole person and meeting those needs, we believe that each inmate who leaves a life of incarceration will be able, with God's help to remain free from the prison system for the remainder of his life.
Types Of Activity
A Christian Types of acitvities include Bible study for men and women, GED education, life skills (balancing a checkbook, nutrition, setting goals, completing job applications and how to interview, etc.), discipleship training, and aftercare planning (where will inmate live, securing a job, associating with a church, etc.). In addition, we have plans to provide a transitional living arrangement for men recently discharged from jail within the next six months!
