Greensville CC Chaplain's Department

The Chaplains Department of Greensville Correctional Center consists of three chaplains ministering to 3400 inmates in a male medium security correctional center. It involves church services, outreach crusades, the Kairos ministry, and several kinds of Bible studies and discipleship programs.

Who We Are

The Greensville CC is the largest men's prison in Virginia, and the Chaplain's Department is a ministry of Chaplain Services of the Churches of Virginia Inc. There are three chaplains serving about 3400 male inmates in a medium security facility.

Our Vision

Reaching inmates for Christ, helping them grow as disciples, teaching them to be effective servants of the LORD.

Types Of Activity

church services, outreach sports crusades, Kairos ministry, Prison Fellowship ministry, three chapel libraries, Bible studies, Disciple Bible Study program, Christian Believer program, Companions in Christ program.

Location

southern Virginia in Greensville County, just off I=95 just north of Emporia

Support In

Chaplains Beighley, Holm, Moore, the inmate Christian coordinators, the Kairos and Saints ministries, the Disciple, Purpose Driven Life, and Christian Believer classes, the various outreaches going on, all inmates- especially those in the segregation unit, the Wardens, Staff, Correctional Officers, and families of all concerned.
