With A Voice of Praise

The Naaman Center is a Christian outpatient treatment facility for recovering addicts. We use the Serenity Bible and guide our clients through the 12 Step program. All of our staff are Christians who are in recovery. I would say that 80% of our clients are connected with the criminal justice system. We enjoy working with inmates and offer support in writing them and praying for them.

2 Corinthians 5:17 - Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new crearture: the old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Who We Are

For the last seven years I have devoted my time to helping women who are incarecerated or who are effected by the prison system. My focus has been on the transitional housing programs and drug and alcohol treatment programs. I am currently a Christian Drug and Alcohol counselor in Elizabethtown, PA. I have been featrued in several local newspapers and recieved numerous awards for my efforts in helping other women through the difficult stages on addicitons and recovery.

Our Vision

My vision is to contiue to reach out to our church communities praying for support in these field. There is not enough help in the area of addictions because not many people are educated on its effects. So I also speak to church organizations by telling my testimony of salvation and sharing where the need is great.

Types Of Activity

I have done training programs for The Department of Public Welfare, also workshops for women just released from prison who are trying to get into the workforce.
Through testimony and song, I share with different congregations who have an interest in the addicitons ministry.

Location

Dauphin County Prison; Montogomery County Prison; Delta Housing; The Program For Female Offenders; ARC; Community Action Commission; The Foundation for Prevention of Drug and Alcohol; Promise Place.

About Our Prison Ministry

I have taken this opportunity to work with women who are just like me. I feel that my approach to the disease of addiciton is very broad. I offer to these women hope.

Support In

I just ask for continued prayer in my efforts, I am also putting together a inspirational book, so pray for the Lord's work in that. I pray that the Lord will continue to use me to share the goodness of his mercy.
