Who We Are
Bridge to Hope: A Faith Community Partnership, is a prison ministry of the Cape Cod Council of Churches. We offer mentoring services to women in the Barnstable County Correctional Facility in Bourne, Massachusetts. Christian women volunteer to be trained as mentors to minister to women who have at least 3 months left on their sentence. Mentors write and visit their mentees while in jail and the walk alongside them as they transition from jail back into the community.
Our Vision
Our vision is to bring the love of Jesus Christ to the mentees, regardless of race, class or religion. We see our mentees as precious children of God and as new creations in Christ. By bringing the transforming power of a loving God into their lives, we believe the rate of recidivism will be reduced significantly.
