Prison Ministries Transitional Assistance Initiative

We know that there are many issues facing those who are soon to be released from our prisons and other institutions such as:

1) Finding a Church Home
2) Housing Concerns
3) HealthCare Needs
4) Financial Assistance
5) Employment Opportunities
6) Education & Career Development

We know without a doubt that these issues are just the tip of the iceberg. We would like to help in any way that the Lords Leads Us.

Phil 4:6-7 - ...Be anxious for nothing, but everything through prayer and supplication with thanksgiving...

Who We Are

The mission of Prison Ministries Transitional Assistance Initiative is to provide the incarcerated and soon to be released inmate an opportunity to step out into the community on a sound spiritual and biblical foundation. We will try to assist the inmate and his or her family with attaining the correct information needed for a smooth transition back into their communities, with the primary goal of reducing recidivism and educating community awareness.

Our Vision

Our goal is to inform our visitors and those inmates we work closely with on a case by case basis on their options for re-entering there communities on sound biblical principles. Though we currently do not have the funding to assist financially we can help the families and inmates find reliable resources within there communities or on a state or federal level to provide the much needed assistance to make a smooth transition back into society.

Types Of Activity

Our current activities include research of the DOC System in the State of Massachusetts as it pertains to Sex Offender Re-Entry and what steps are taken to reduce recidivism and try to reach out to the inmates via a printed newsletter and a welcome package, introducing our services to the inmate population in and around the state.

Location

Most of the inmates that we work with are in the state of Massachusetts, but we do on occasions work with inmates outside of our region.

Our magazine (newsletter)

We distribute a printed Newsletter and Welcome Package to inmates without cost and it is sent out monthly as finances permit. We also have a Blog where people can join and view our newsletter online or we can send the newsletter to there email address on a monthly basis. The newsletter varies in length.

Support In

We are currently seeking volunteer board members to meet the requirements of the IRS to form a LLC (Limited Liability Company) so we may then apply for a 501 C 3 non profit status. Online collaboration portal is in place to discuss our goals and future plans and needs.
