Dayton Weekend of Champions

The success of the ministry is due to the fact that it has remained faithful to the purpose of evangelism for over 30 years.

2 Corinthians 5:17 - Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new crearture: the old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Who We Are

Dayton Weekend of Champions is a division of "Champions for Life Ministries". Champions for Life events, called Weekend of Champions & Day of Champions, are unique because volunteers (called teammates) from all walks of life are required to participate in evangelism training and then empowered to put that training to work in fields ripe for harvest. Through this process, teammates are equipped to better share Christ in their homes, communities and work places.

Our Vision

Champions for Life's vision is that all Christians be equipped for evangelism and then enabled to experience the joy of personally sharing the Gospel with the lost. Our Ministry was formed to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world. Focus shifted in 1972 to emphasize prison evangelism.

Types Of Activity

We are now accomplishing this by conducting interdenominational crusades, known as Celebrations of Champions. Weekends of champions are 3-day events that feature superstar athletes, entertainers and various other attractions to draw inmates out so that they can hear the gospel of Christ. Volunteer Teammates are then able to encourage and share with inmates one-on-one.

Location

Across all of North America, plus additional international locations as opportunities are presented. A Weekend of Champions was held in Lima, Peru during 2004.
