Who We Are

Justice & Mercy is a nonprofit, volunteer organization dedicated to decreasing the effects of crime in our communities. We achieve this by advocating cost-effective and practical reforms within the
criminal justice system. We also network with and support other criminal justice organizations and encourage church and community outreach efforts by working to increase knowledge and understanding of criminal justice issues.

Our Vision

Justice & Mercy is dedicated to decreasing the effects of crime in our communities, increasing public safety, and ministering to and restoring both crime victims and offenders. We achieve these goals by advocating cost-effective and practical reforms within the criminal justice system and by supporting and encouraging wise public policy. We also encourage church and community outreach efforts by working to increase knowledge and understanding of criminal justice issues.

Types Of Activity

• Informing faith communities
• Referring help for people in need.
• Encouraging justice that strives to restore.
• Information sharing with Ministerial Groups
• Promoting fairness in government.
• Networking with others who investigate and seek
remedies.
• Holding public forums to seek safer communities.

Location

Our focus is within the state of Pennsylvania, primarily with state and local jails and prisons. Involvement includes supporting victims, challenging offenders to be accountable and showing compassion for families. Justice & Mercy is starting chapters around the state. You can partner with your local churches and join or form a chapter in your area. Justice & Mercy would be glad to come and speak to your groups on what we are doing in the criminal justice system or help to start a chapter.

Our magazine (newsletter)

Our newsletter goes out in the Spring and again in the Fall. For a free copy you may contact us giving your name and address. It is 12 pages and gives publicity to any major upcoming forums or banquets, etc.

About Our Prison Ministry

We base Restorative Justice on the biblical principles of empathy, forgiveness and healing between victims and offenders which also involves the community as a whole. Instead of retribution for crimes, we primarily seek restoration. Education, civility, truth and love must remain superior to mere punishment.

Support In

Pray that we remain true to God's purpose and that we remain focused on what He wants for His people who we serve. Please pray that we stay steadfast and strong.

Justice & Mercy is working to get prisoners back to family, to work, to living.
