Who We Are

The Northern Correctional Institution is the designated restrictive housing facility for the Connecticut Department of Correction, managing those inmates who have demonstrated a serious inability to adjust to confinement posing a threat to the safety and security of the community, staff and other inmates.

About Our Prison Ministry

This is Connecticut's only level 5 maximum-security facility for adult male inmates. It is situated on 20-acres immediately adjacent to the Osborn Correctional Institution.
