Who We Are
African Prison Ministries began in September of 2000 by hosting a "Prodigal Son Banquet" in a prison in West Africa. Since that time, APM has sponsored 20+ banquets in Togo, Nigeria, Mali, Niger, and Zambia. Follow-up from the banquets is accomplished through an in-depth discipleship program. Currently, APM has a representative office in New York and regional offices in Nigeria and South Africa.
The vision of African Prison Ministries is to sponsor evangelistic outreaches (Prodigal Son Banquets) and discipleship in prisons throughout Africa through five regional offices (West Africa, South Africa, East Africa, Central Africa, and North Africa). APM has begun establishing a Bible school in West Africa exclusively for former inmates. Through its Bible school, African Prison Ministries will train former inmates for vocational ministry.
Types Of Activity
The ministry of African Prison Ministries is to provide resources and funding to active prison ministries to host evangelistic outreaches (Prodigal Son Banquets). Current and active prison ministries contact APM for information related to host an evangelistic outreach. APM will consider all applications equally, and provide funding for those that meet our ministry goals.
APM currently has conducted ministry in Togo, South Africa, Nigeria, Mali, Niger, and Zambia. During 2005-2006, APM is planning to further develop its discipleship ministry in the countries we are currently operating in.
