MARK 16:15

Dear Friends and Partners!

Do you remember those days when the TV set was something to talk about? Do you remember there was a guy down the street who had one? And now TV sets are everywhere. We have them in the bedroom, in the kitchen, in the living room. They are no surprise to us, or to our kids and grandchildren.

The same now with the Internet. It is still at its very beginning. Everybody is talking about Internet. Even the President in his re-election run, said, "We will make everything possible so each 8-year-old kid will read and each sixth grader will be able to log-on to the Internet".

"Internet, Internet" - it's everywhere. What is it? Another national madness? What is all this Information Superhighway thing that everybody is so crazy about?

It was formerly the Defense Department Computer network built in the early seventies to access strategic and scientific information for the Defense Department people around the World. In late '80's this computer network left the hands of the military - too many people hearedabout it and got access to it. Later the Internet officially went public. Several years ago Internet got its Graphical User Interface and a mouse. Just recently the global computer network received its sound, animation and interaction.

Today the Internet is the most complete information source on the planet. Its millions of computers are linked by telephone and optical cables around the globe. Little WWW (short for World Wide Web) is everywhere. Check your magazines - you will see www.att.com, www.ibm.com, www.cbs.com. Check your television screen? Practically in every commercial you will see company's Web address: www.pepsi.com, www.toyota.com, www.tacobell.com.

Today one can simply dial www.ford.com and get connected to a Ford Motors computer. Dial www.sony.com to see Japanese product specs. Banking? Here we are: www.bofa.com - Bank of America. FBI? www.fbi.gov. White House, US Senate - just try dialing the word of your interest and you're there.

Today we want to invite you to join us in this thrilling cyber ride. We want to stay with you, our Christian partner, side-by-side in Cyberspace. WE ARE OFFERING YOU A FREE INTERNET PAGE AND FREE E-MAIL ACCESS. Your PERMANENT AND FREE Web Page will be "http://prisomninistry.net/you". And there is no "catch". We are here to help you to carry the Christian Message across. Let's do it in the way of the Third Millennium.

All you have to do is fill out the form on the Internet, if you received this invitation by mail, send the enclosed form for your Internet page to us. If you already have an Internet page, give us your address.

Please, contact us if you have any questions. Contact us using secure email form.

And what about the future of Internet? Will it remain a kind of dark horse for the public? No! Ask kids at any high school. They all have the Internet. Big companies and broadcasters are making their move to the Internet. In several years all TV sets in the country will be plugged into the Internet. It will become something as native and common as radio or telephone, or even as fax machine. So, stay tuned. Or, even better, stay on the Frontline. Like we do.
