Who We Are

Auburn Correctinal Facility is the oldest prison in the United States. We began taking prisoners in 1817. The facility is served by 6 chaplains - 2 Catholic (1 part time preist, 1 full time deacon) - 1 Protestant (full time) - 1 Muslim (full time) - a part time Rabbi and a part time Nation of Islam minister.

Our Vision

The chaplaincy's goal is to help inmates and families (as well as staff) cope with today while working toward tomorrow. This done using the faith and traditions of one's practice (or helping someone to find faith) to strengthen and inform their journey.

Types Of Activity

Worship, study, counseling, prayer (not necessarily in that order)
