San Juan de la Cruz Secular Carmelites Prison Ministry

Our vision to help bring incarcerated men and women closer to Christ. We believe that "Prayer life is rooted in the needs of our human nature. Without it we are frustrated creatures." From vocal prayer through meditation to contemplative prayer we are gradually transformed from "one glory to another as we are turned into the divine image (2 Cor 3:18).

2 Cor 3:18 - ...one glory to another as we are turned into the divine image.

Who We Are

We are members of the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites. As members of the Order we are called to "allegiance to Jesus Christ" as "a friendship with Him whom we know loves us" in the service of the Church.
