Who We Are
The Forsyth Jail and Prison Ministries is an interdenominational Christian ministry that serves over 15,000 incarcerated men, women and youth each year. Our volunteers, chaplains, and staff seek to guide inmates and their families to reconciliation with each other, the community and God.
Our core mission is to serve the spiritual needs of incarcerated men, women and youth in Forsyth County as a Christian Ministry. The cornerstone of this Ministry is the counseling and pastoral relationships our chaplains maintain with our inmates. Worship services and Bible studies are a part of this relationship. Chaplains are also called to comfort inmates 24 hours a day during times of despair, isolation and hopelessness.
