Who We Are
HeartBound Ministries is a non-profit outreach organization that supports and equips Georgia prison chaplains and ministers to the physical and spiritual needs of inmates through programs designed to positively impact and change inmates' lives, foster successful transitions back into society, and reduce recidivism rates
We focus on spiritual awareness, literacy, life skills, and wellness, with the goal of helping inmates make positive life changes that in turn promote safer communities when inmates return to the free world.
Types Of Activity
We bring in professional athletes, musicians, Christian speakers, and dramatists to minister within Georgia's 32 state prisons, three private prisons, county prisons, youth detention centers and transitional centers. We seek to have churches and civic groups "adopt a prison" and provide further support for the chaplains. We act as a collective voice for Georgia prison chaplains, advocating for the reinstatement of full-time chaplains in every Georgia prison.
Our magazine (newsletter)We send out a two-page newsletter five times a year.
