Hebrews 13:9 - Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings. It is good for our hearts to be strengthened by grace, not by ceremonial foods, which are of no value to those who eat them.

Who We Are

We are a Christian Advocacy organization promoting awareness of Hepatitis C through education. We provide services to communities, social services, and health care providers in order to further educate and help the under served recognize and address the risk factors surrounding Hepatitis C.
We target those groups who are disproportionately at risk. These groups include the African American and the Hispanic; the Asian and Native American; the incarcerated, the homeless, and the illiterate.

Our Vision

The mission of the Hepatitis C Multicultural Outreach is to make Hepatitis C an unavoidable issue
in the multicultural community. We address the needs of the under served affected by the Hepatitis C virus. By becoming a bridge of communication between the client and human services worker, we seek to break down those obstacles in hopes of decreasing the disparities found within the health care system.

Types Of Activity

One of our newest projects involve training prison ministries to gather and share information on those inmates who are hep C infected, teaching them the terms often associated with the virus and liver disease. Through the efforts of such ministries we hope to pass on health tips that do not infringe upon what the health officials are doing, and often are as simple as telling the inmate what is good and not good to eat while waiting for treatment
