Who We AreMy name is Trevor a. Palmer, i am the founder of "man on a mission" prison ministry. two years ago i started mentoring men in the prison system. We not only provide services to inmate, but ex-offenders, and their families, especially children. We correspond with numerous inmates on a daily basis, while attempting to provide support to the families who must cope with a love one being incarcerated. We are a 3, 6, 9, 12 program depending on the clients needs.Our Vision"Man on a mission" seeks to provide education and mentoring services to ex-felons using a christian-based value system and learning model. m.o.a.m.'s goal is to provide assistance and guidance to individuals currently released from prison, to ensure their successful transition to the public community. Through mentorship and brotherhood, m.o.a.m hopes to create change in the lives of our men.Types Of ActivityMentoring (bonding sessions), spiritual awareness and development, behavior modification, psychological assessment & referral services, substance abuse assistance and medical evaluation, h.i.v/a.ai.d. information education, veterans assistance, parenting classes, resident advocacy (representatives in-court)computer training, bus transportation services (for families who cannot afford it, public distributions of resource materials on the prison system.LocationAllenwood PA, low correctional facility, MCC, New York, MCD, NY. We welcome ex-offender to our location.Our magazine (newsletter)We currently have a publication where we discuss the principals of Christ and how to apply the christian principals while incarcerated.About Our Prison MinistryM.O.A.M. is currently faced with the diffusivity of assisting many inmates.Support InWe are in need of 100 study Bibles, and commentaries for the men that we work with. Many of the inmates are hungry for the word but lack the proper material that will increase their understanding about Christ. Many of the men are also being deported after serving 5 8, 10 years, to countries that they were not raised in . Many are veteran who have received honorable discharge.
