Who We Are

We are a Word of Faith type church that began in early 80's in North Houston. Since then we have experienced phenomenal growth. Our thriving, predominately Black congregation of over 22,000 members are one church, however, we have multiple locations.

Our Vision

The pastor of our church is Dr. Ira V. Hilliard, a multi-gifted pastor/teacher. Pastor Hilliard is committed to spreading the gospel to his generation through television, other mass media techniques, and outreach ministries such as ours. The television program, "The Light", has resulted in thousands hearing the uncompromised Word of God in a unique and refreshing manner in cities across America.

Types Of Activity

Our usual service consists of music by our praise and worship teams, prayer, exhortations, testimonies, occasional special guest, and anointed ministry of the word.

Location

We have been blessed to minister to inmates at many of the Prisons in Houston and the surrouding areas such as the following: Central, Carol Vance, Darrington, RamseyI, II, and III, Retrieve, Jester III, Holiday, Goree, Eastham, Ellis, Pam Lynchner, U. S. Penitentiary, Terrell, and several others.

At our church's annual Church Growth Conference, thousands of pastors and church leaders attend seminars and workshops where we share the priciples, knowledge and wisdom God has given us that has sustained the phenomenal growth of the multifaceted ministry. Here the prison ministry has been used as a model for hundreds of churches to initiate ministries of their own and operate them with excellence.
