Who We Are Presbyterian Prison Ministry is a faith-based organization, made possible by North Carolina Presbyterians, churches, individuals and civic groups. Funds are used for worship, education, transitional planning and special programming; as well as operating expenses and staffing.
Our Vision To be a model ministry, using a holistic approach that helps incarcerated women and ex-offenders transform their lives. Our dream is for women to see themselves, God, and the world around them through the lens of hope so that they may have inner strength to improve their lives.
Types Of Activity The Presbyterian Prison Ministry provides a chaplain and chaplaincy services to 190 incarcerated women at Raleigh Correctional Center for Women.
The ministry serves women of all faiths through:
- Worship and sacraments - Spiritual nurture - Pastoral care - Education - Transitional planning and Aftercare
