Who We Are Ambassadors in Sport reaches out to thousands of people throughout the world through soccer. Over the past 10 years, AIS has begun to grow as an International sports ministry that specializes in sharing the Gospel through soccer. The vision of AIS is to see indigenous soccer ministries in every country and culture across the world.
Our Vision Our purpose is to communicate the Good News of Jesus Christ to prisoners through soccer. Our vision is to see prison soccer ministries developed in South Africa and internationally.
Types Of Activity We run daily programs from Monday - Friday. We develop prisoners spiritually through bible studies, education through life skills, and physically through soccer training programs.
Location Pollsmoor, Leeukop and Drakenstein prisons in South Africa.
Our magazine (newsletter)
We develop a 2 page newsletter every quarter. This can be sent on request through email.
About Our Prison Ministry Our aim is to develop soccer academies in prisons around South Africa. We have plans to develop training facilities in Pollsmoor. We have land to develop an U23 soccer academy for ex-prisoners in Citrusdal. This project will house 16 boys which will go through a one year intense course. We would like to have our academies tour to other prisons, and even internationally to any of our offices in the UK, Spain, US, Brazil, Czech Republic or Japan.
Support In For more full time staff to become involved in this exciting ministry. For the juveniles involved in our soccer academies that they will accept Christ and make an impact on other prisoners. For a pitch proposal at Pollsmoor prison - that it is accepted so we can run evening training sessions with prisoners. For sponsorship for kits, boots, tracksuits, balls etc.
