Who We Are

Beyond Bars Ministries, Inc. is committed to the restoration of the "family" unit that has suffered the ravages of one or both parents incarceration. This includes the practical aspects of discipling inmates, joint counselling sessions to stress the sacredness and solidarity of marriage, and providing scholarships for the most at-risk kids to Christian camps.

Our Vision

Success is found in placing one family at a time in a caring fellowship of believers.

Types Of Activity

For inmates: Preach, teach, counsel and provide mentors for personal discipling. For families: counselling and educational awareness to community agencies for assistance. For organizations, churches: Seminars and training on the material obligations and spiritual responsibilities of embracing the ex-prisoner and his family for successful re-entry to society. How to help insure the family is not another "recidivism" casualty.

Location

Florida State Institutions.

Our magazine (newsletter)

"From the Chaplains Desk..." A monthly e-newsletter regarding our ministry, seminars, educational institutes, news affecting the "families doing time" as well.

About Our Prison Ministry

The platform begins by establishing an inmate with a mentor, one-on-one, while still incarcerated. The relationship is quite naturally extended to the whole family in time, and then the family is "mentored" by the church fellowship.

Support In

Courage and perseverance for those being released, as they learn to deal with the complexities and problems of being faithful to God in an apathetic culture.
