Who We AreGROW ministries is a non profit organization dedicated to serving women in crisis. we are a two fold ministry with a support group for abused women and a prison ministry which serves women both while incarcerated as well as after the inmate is released. We help with the transition of the inmate back to life on the outside with job placement, clothing, food, rides to church, Bible studies and a traveling choir to belong to and be involved in serving the Lord!Our VisionOur vision is to help women in crisis become whole and healthy in their thinking and change their hearts with God's help, as well as becoming agents of change in their lives.Types Of ActivityBible study, traveling choir, rides to church, in the future transitional housing for ex inmates, bus passes to get to work, rides to church, lay-counseling, abuse counseling and support for victims, emergency help, food, furniture.LocationScott county jail, Davenport Iowa, and Rock Island county jail in Rock Island, IL we also pen pal with inmates at My Pleasant Iowa and Oakdale Iowa, as well as Dwight correctional center and Mitchellville, Iowa.Our magazine (newsletter)We have a newsletter that comes out three times a year. ViewAbout Our Prison MinistryIn our quad city area we are the only faith based organization that does what we do in both of our areas of ministry. We have only been around for about two years but already have won new program of the year in 2006 from the Scott county sheriff's dept of corrections in Davenport, Iowa.Support InPlease pray that as a ministry we will honor the Lord Jesus Christ in all areas. And that in the future we will be able to purchase homes for transitional housing for ex inamtes. Pray for our clients! Pray that the finances we need will come in.
