Match-Two Mentoring Outreach

M2/Match-Two Mentoring Outreach fulfills Matt.25 by visiting prisoners, befriending them, giving moral guidance, and helping them to convert from offenders into nonoffenders. M2 has a 70% success rate in conversion over the years since 1971. Our slogan is "One Less Offender - One Less Victim." You can help by joining our mission and being part of the solution.

Matt. 25:45 - Then he will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it not to one of the least of these, you did it not to me."

Who We Are

MATCH 2 (M2) is 34 years old in California, with a track record of success, and it is quite worthy of being the model for other prison mentoring programs elsewhere. Pertinent information about this organization is readily available on the sidebar at M2 Texas.

Our Vision

The concept of M-2 is simple. It’s a one-to-one relationship between an inmate and a volunteer from the local community. Experience shows that mere friendship facilitates life-changing decisions and lowers recidivism rates for inmates who are matched. We are simply called to visit and let God do His work through our willing hearts.

Types Of Activity

In prison, inmates request to participate in the M-2 Program. They usually have to wait 6 months to a year before a volunteer can be found to visit them. These inmates qualify for the program if they have three or less visits a year. Typically, we are working with inmates who are really seeking to change their lives.

Location

M2 currently ministers in Texas and California and plans to open in all states before 2010.
