Who We Are Rachel's Pen Pal Ministry is a ministry that provides support to the men, women and adolescent prisoners who are incarcerated, have no family support and/or need other assistance in making it through the system. Rachel's Pen Pal Ministry is affiliated with New Vision Organization, Inc. and additionally provides assistance with Outreach Services. This Ministry was founded and established by Rachel Deery.
Our Vision Our vision is to recruit other volunteers throughout the country to assist in writing therapeutic letters to prisoners around the country. If each individual in the United States were willing to write one letter per month, we would see an enormous change in the lives of prisoners throughout.
Types Of Activity Writing therapeutic and supportive letters to prisoners. Mailing resourceful information that can assist the prisoners with correspondence courses, legal help, and accessing other types of resourceful literature and other material.
Location We minister to prisons and jails throughout the United States.
Support In Rachel's Pen Pal Ministry operates on a voluntary basis. Therefore donations of writing supplies, i.e. pens, pencils, stationary, stamps, envelopes, etc. Would be very helpful and would allow us to write to more prisoners. Resourceful information of pamphlets, tracs, flyers, newsletters, etc. would also be a great help.
