Who We Are
We're Christian men women and youth who love the Lord and sports. We recognize sports as a tool to reach the unloved and hardened men,women and kids in prison.We've been doing sports evangelism since 1998.
Our Vision
"We are Christ's official messengers. It is as if God were making his appeal through us. Here is what Christ wants us to beg you to do. Come back to God!" II Corinthians 5:20Is to see incarcerated men, women and kids saved and discipled.
Types Of Activity
Sports- Post-Abortion ProgramRecently God began opening doors for Messengers to expand into women's correctional facilities through Post-Abortion Bible Studies. It is estimated that 60% - 80% of all female offenders have had an abortion. This may be a factor in the destructive criminal behavior that led them to prison.
Location
We spend 1 weekend a month in a State, Federal or County Jail. Usually 1 prison on Saturday and another on Sunday. We usually stay in Texas but travel to Oklahoma and Louisiana. We are always back by Sunday evening.About Our Prison Ministry
Why it's successfulWhen a man gets saved and is discipled the return rate drops drastically. At the Vance Unit in Texas Where a Faith Based program is set in place the recidivism rate is 10%. Also 95% of all inmates get out of prison. That being s
