Who We AreI'm a born again Christian. We attend the First Baptist Church in our town. I felt led to become pen pals to female inmates and have been as blessed as I hoped to bless them. Praise the Lord! I have written to several inmates over the past few years. Been glad for them when they're released but admit I do miss hearing from them.Our VisionMy vision is to encourage my pen pals in any way the Lord leads me. Praying for them and their families is very important. Always strive to touch on Each Thing my pen pal Writes about. I send them Christian quotes and Poems, a chuckle or two, Devotionals, prayers I've saved,etc. I have learned to Care about Each Pen Pal I've been Writing to. Finally, Lord Willing, "and most important I Desire To Witness."Types Of ActivityThese Inmates have a Lot of Issues to Deal with -- Inside and When They're Released. I strive to help them through prayer, encouragement, & understanding. They Need to know somebody Out Here cares about them. Some are furthering their Education. Many are Involved in Bible Study, which of course is Fantastic.LocationBegan by writing to my brother in-law's girlfriend. It was from my experience writing back and forth with her, I believe, that led me to Prison Ministries in the hopes of finding other ladies that I prayerfully could have as pen pals. It doesn't make any difference Where they are or for that matter What they have done since it isn't my place nor part of this ministry to judge anybody.About Our Prison MinistryMy main goal, of course, is to witness to all my pen pals. Or if they are already saved to encourage them all the way. Have been surprised at the depth of some of their faiths. WOW, talk about them teaching me.Support InPlease pray for me that I will always say the right thing when answering letters. May God Bless each person who is trying to help those imprisoned in a Spiritual Way.
