Who We Are

Instrumental in organizing statewide conferences with CJAMM around issues of formerly incarcerated highlighting the voice of those affected by the system. We teach in prisons, provides aftercare, networking, advocacy, and empowerment of formerly incarcerated on personal, social and governmental venues. The system needs reform and we disenfranchised by the system take responsibility for our social location in the community. Our leadership board is exclusively formerly incarcerated persons.

Our Vision

We seek for ourselves as human beings: connection to community, safe and affordable housing, meaningful employment, networks of supportive persons and organizations, lives with meaning and purpose as well as access to resources for our enfranchisement. We believe that we best can solve our own problems and help those in similar circumstances. We act out of our invaluable experience towards solution based action missions.

Types Of Activity

Advocacy, aftercare, empowerment, leadership training, networking, access to resources, grant writing/making and support systems. We will strive to seek for all formerly incarcerated people in their transition from prison to freedom as we together pursue life, liberty and happiness in our communities, families and nation. Families of and friends of formerly incarcerated people as well as organizations supportive of our mission are invited to join together with us in unity and ACTion.

Books we have published

Network/resource directories in conjunction with the Criminal Justice and Mercy Ministries of the Kansas West Conference of United Methodist Church as well as articles published in the Kansas West Connection Publication of The United Methodist Church KS West. A Master's Thesis titled: "A Case Study for ACTion Anthropology: The Prison Project"-located at the Wichita State University Ablah Library-Special Collections. About Our Prison Ministry

We believe that those who have been disaffected by the prison system should have center stage in active solutions to our own life challenges. The voice of the native matters and we seek to empower these voices. Unite and become empowered!
