Who We Are CCM is a 501 (c) 3 ministry staffed by state trained Volunteer Chaplains working in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice system. CCM volunteers minister in music, classroom instruction and the Word. We have been active in TDCJ since 1995. Our schedule currently has us serving in a unit twice every week.
Our Vision Taking Jesus to the 4th world mission field, our prisons. We believe that inside each offender lies a soul desiring change and needing salvation. The system does not change men and women but Jesus does!
Types Of Activity Aftercare referral. Free world inservice on prison ministry startup. Southern Gospel group "Heavens Calling" ministers in song. 3 ordained ministers on staff. Local congregation placement prior to release. Crusades, revivals, and institutional ministry. Self Paced Bible Studies. Statewide database of x-offender friendly churches maintained. Facilitators for Experiencing God course. We provide free Bibles upon request to inmates.
Location Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Statewide services provided. Regular weekly services in several units.
About Our Prison Ministry We are available for services in your church upon request. Services provided for love offerings. We travel statewide to all units. We are available to facilitate you and your congregation in prison ministry startup procedures.
