We are the Azalea City Prison Ministry. We have approximately 45 workers and all of us are volunteers, no salaries are paid by the ministry! We serve over 34 prisons, 3 youth detention centers and five jails in Georgia and Florida. The ministry began in 1979 and was incorporated in 1985. The Refuge of Hope was opened in November 2003. Add your prayer requestToday is my son's birthday, he is 27. He has been in jail due to charges stemming from his drinking. His name is William Soper and he has had a hard time adjusting to society as an adult. He is willing to get help for his drinking and feels the medications the doctor has prescribed will help him when he gets out in Sept. 2005. He once attempted suicide and I am thankful he is till alive.
