The Heartland Church Prison Ministry is a new ministry started in July 2014 by two friends, who experienced prison first hand, watching their adult children join the prison population. The passion developed in this ministry is heartfelt by all who volunteer, as we are each called to love those in and outside the walls of prison. Johnson County Kansas Adult Detention Center
Some of these men are interested in soundly biblical correspondence courses. There is a high turn over ratio. Once court appearances are completed, the men are then "farmed out" to numerous other detention centers and I lose contact with them.
