In 2007, Leaving The Cocoon became the official women's mentoring program for the Tennessee Department of Correction. According to the Director of TDOC Volunteer Services, LTC is a “pioneer in reentry mentoring.” Leaving The Cocoon's mission has been to show Christ-like compassion to the needs of the incarcerated and help them rebuild their lives outside prison. With this in mind, LTC is helping the newly released “butterfly” to reach their God-given potential.Ministry help request

Our vision of our ministry to others be fulfilled. We have the understanding that we need to be doing things, it isn't good to just say, "Be fed and warm." Add your prayer requestPlease pray for my Brother. He is in Jail, serving charges for molesting his daughter. He considers himself a Christian and is Repentive about this situation that had stopped about 5 years earlier. I do fear however that he could be a repeat offender even when he gets out. He has always had a self righteous attitude and still thinks that eventhough what he did was wrong that his daughter will be able to get over it.
