L5:17 is a church prison ministry that seeks to bring disenfranchised inmates and their families into the healing presence and community of Jesus Christ. Our starting point is a bi-weekly Bible study in the heart of Winnipeg at the Remand Centre. We follow up with one-on-one's and use a network of chaplains, ministries (Teen Challenge, Forward House, Bridging the Gap), and churches to guide the inmates to the next healing environment. Add your prayer requestPlease pray for my brother Alton Jr. He has a felony record from making a bad decision sometime ago, he is out but has not been able to find work because of his felony charge, he is also needed housing;preferably a nice clean room and groceries. He is extremely depressed and doesn't seem to have a sense of direction, he has also experienced alot of rejection his entire life, and "really" needs to be re-parented.
