Susan Atkins

Susan Atkins died on September 24, 2009, at the Central California Women's facility in Chowchilla. A prison spokesman announced to reporters that her death was due to natural causes. Her husband, James Whitehouse, subsequently released the following statement: "Susan passed away peacefully surrounded by friends and loved ones and the incredible staff at the Skilled Nursing Facility at the Central California Women's Facility ... Her last whispered word was 'Amen.

Prayer Request of the Hour

Please pray for my son, Casey . He is in Hamilton unit and his wife of 14 years has decided to divorce him before he comes home. He was looking forward to being with his wife and two young sons. He needs prayers to get him through these last 4 1/2 months and when he comes home.
