Susan Atkins

Susan Atkins died on September 24, 2009, at the Central California Women's facility in Chowchilla. A prison spokesman announced to reporters that her death was due to natural causes. Her husband, James Whitehouse, subsequently released the following statement: "Susan passed away peacefully surrounded by friends and loved ones and the incredible staff at the Skilled Nursing Facility at the Central California Women's Facility ... Her last whispered word was 'Amen.

Prayer Request of the Hour

I pray that the jails/prisons stop their rioting. I pray that we all pray on the inmates and family members who are effected by these ordeals adn find some peace in their hearts. I also pray for my husband Richard whom I love very much and that he will be home soon.
