Susan Atkins
Susan Atkins died on September 24, 2009, at the Central California Women's facility in Chowchilla. A prison spokesman announced to reporters that her death was due to natural causes. Her husband, James Whitehouse, subsequently released the following statement: "Susan passed away peacefully surrounded by friends and loved ones and the incredible staff at the Skilled Nursing Facility at the Central California Women's Facility ... Add your prayer requestI have a Best Friend who is currently in jail for a violation of parole , the reason is about a year ago that friend was in a car accident which resulted in my other best friend dying at the scene , please just pray that everything is ok with him and that he may understand everything and within everything that he will be able to find god and find the strength that only god can give him .
