Shelter is a registered Christian organization in Malaysia. Shelter is 25 years old.It was started by a group of young people in 1981 and the ministry grew and every month about 500 children are being helped through the residential centers, single mothers support group, young prisoners ministry, refugee work and the teen drop in center. Fiji Prison Ministry
1. Pray for volunteers and wisdom in their activity in Fiji prisons.2. Pray for new inmate visitation. As part of the prison allocation process, all new inmates in Fiji now receive an induction to Chaplaincy Services. This is a real answer to prayer. The next step is to make Pacific Youth Correctional Ministries (PYCM) materials available for all new prisoners (this helps a prisoner evaluate what has brought them to the point of incarceration and where they go from there).
