In 2007, Leaving The Cocoon became the official women's mentoring program for the Tennessee Department of Correction. According to the Director of TDOC Volunteer Services, LTC is a “pioneer in reentry mentoring.” Leaving The Cocoon's mission has been to show Christ-like compassion to the needs of the incarcerated and help them rebuild their lives outside prison. We receive several letters from TX Prisoners who are Christians requesting for Spiritual guidance, prayers, support and Christian Pen Pals. TX Pen Pals Wanted desire to meet the needs of these prisoners so that they may grow deeper in their faith and know that there are true Christians out here who really cares for them. Add your prayer requestI need prayer that I get custody of my children. On February 7th, we go to court to battle out the custody and I do not have an attorney and can not afford one. The state of Connecticut has given my wife’s ex-husband custody of their daughter because of the psychiatric report that STATES my wife is unfit to be a full time mother because of her abusiveness let alone her temper. I am a Christian and am putting this in then Lord’s hands.
