L5:17 is a church prison ministry that seeks to bring disenfranchised inmates and their families into the healing presence and community of Jesus Christ. Our starting point is a bi-weekly Bible study in the heart of Winnipeg at the Remand Centre. We follow up with one-on-one's and use a network of chaplains, ministries (Teen Challenge, Forward House, Bridging the Gap), and churches to guide the inmates to the next healing environment. I need volunteers to assist with clerical and computer work. I cannot afford to file for 501(c) status. I have about an 85% success rate and would love to teach my classes full-time, (so would Broad River). Add your prayer requestI need prayer that I get custody of my children. On February 7th, we go to court to battle out the custody and I do not have an attorney and can not afford one. The state of Connecticut has given my wife’s ex-husband custody of their daughter because of the psychiatric report that STATES my wife is unfit to be a full time mother because of her abusiveness let alone her temper. I am a Christian and am putting this in then Lord’s hands.
