Who We Are
Mission Gate is an re-entry aftercare ministry that has a residential program for upwards of 100 Christian ex-offenders. They have 6 residential Guest Homes in south St. Louis MO and a 122 acre residential program for 70 residents at their Fort Good Shepherd Ranch in Cuba MO.
Our Vision
Our vision is to turn a life from crime to Christ through regeneration, rehabilitation and reintegration. This is accomplished by helping "born again" ex-offenders to be all the Lord would have them to be physically, mentally, educationally, vocationally and spiritually. This is accomplished by a disciplined 9 month aftercare program administered by trained and certified counselors and educators.
Types Of Activity
Fun stuff includes: horseback riding, swimming, fishing, hiking, camping, picnics, weight lifting, canoeing and family outdoor reunions.
Classes include: Anger Management, Divorce Recovery, Relapse Prevention, Alcoholics Victorious 12 Step, Experiencing God, Family Counseling, Job Preparation, GED, Computer Skills, and many others that are exclusively Jesus and Bible centered ONLY.
Location
Mission Gate is active in all the prisons of Missouri, southern Illinois and parts of Kansas. This includes city, county, state and federal. They have been doing prison services since 1985 and thousands of prisoners have given their hearts to Jesus for the first time over these years. They are setting the captives free!
