Who We Are
Dr. LaFleur begin in prison ministry in 1978 and soon went on staff with Prison Fellowship. He served as a consultant for CCI and was part of the team that wrote the first proposal for private prisons in Texas in 1984. In 2002, he launched Outmate Outreach as a means of ministering to inmates in administrative segregation.

To continue to be of service to inmates and their families, during and after incarceration.
Types Of Activity
Quarterly newsletter. Individual and group counseling. Mentoring believers behind the walls. Reintegration workshops for inmates and families. Training for correctional staff and inmate families.
Location
Newsletter goes out to inmates in over 40 prisons in Texas, Louisiana, Nebraska, Missouri, Colorado, Tennessee and Arizona.

About Our Prison Ministry
In December 2014, Outmate Outreach Training Institute was formed to develop ministry counselors behind bars. Graduates receive Certificates of Completion as Peacemakers and are listed on ministry website and quarterly newsletters. There is no cost to the inmate.
