Who We Are
Saint Leonard's Ministries was started in 1954 by Episcopal priest James Jones, Chaplain of Cook County Jail, out of his home in Chicago's West Side. Since then, it has grown to house over 100 women and men in five different residential buildings, and to offer reentry services free of charge to 350 people annually.
Our Vision
To empower formerly incarcerated people to live whole and fruitful lives through a continuum of reentry services provided in one, central place.
Types Of Activity
We provide housing, meals, personal items, addiction recovery services, case workers, behavioral health services, work readiness classes, culinary arts course, computer literacy course, financial literacy course, construction course, high school classes, spiritual supports, mentorship, and lifetime alumni support for all graduates of the program.
