Who We Are
Member of St. Vincent dePaul (St. Dismas) Jail Ministry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin area. Author of books and articles related to prison ministry. Work has appeared in "The Catholic Herald" and "National Catholic Reporter." Author of "The Women of Block 12: Voices from a Jail Ministry."
My goal is to give a voice to women offenders, to educate the general community about the factors that lead to incarceration of non-violent offenders (both male and female), to support treatment instead of prison for those affected by addiction and mental illness, and to encourage others to mentor these individuals.
Types Of Activity
The St. Dismas Ministry, of which I am a member, ministers to men and women in our community both during and after incarceration.
Books we have published"The Women of Block 12: Voices from a Jail Ministry," by Linda Pischke, published February 2011, 190 pages, paperback - $14.95. Purchase from website. Also available on Kindle and Nook.
About Our Prison Ministry
The Women of Block 12 blog provides up-to-date information and news about issues related to women offenders.
Please pray for all offenders and ex-offenders, their families, their victims, and those who care for them both as professionals and volunteers. Pray that others are encouraged to mentor those affected by the criminal justice system.
