A ministry for and to families of prisoners.
Our Vision
Kairos Outside is designed to support the families of men and women who are imprisoned. The wives, the mothers, sisters, daughters, whose lives have been impacted by imprisonment of a loved one. We recognise these relatives 'serve' time in a more hostile environment in the community.
Types Of Activity
We run at present 2 Kairos Outside weekends a year. Each taking around 24 women from all over England. We hope to encourage them that they are not alone that there is a christian community that cares, and allows them a safe place to meet others in a similar situation.
Location
HMP The Verne Portland Dorset; HMP Highpoint Mens/Womens. Suffolk; HMP Swaleside Kent
and to any women who we hear about from other chaplains or indeed who hear about us and get in touch with us themselves.
About Our Prison Ministry
The Kairos Outside weekend is based on the street Cursillo, weekend and the Kairos weekend. Only people that have completed their own weekends are eligble to serve on a team.
Support In
Finance - each weekend costs $ 2.500-$ 3000 as we cover absoloutly every cost of the women. All donations accepted for this Kingdom work. Prayer which underpins the entire Ministry, volunteers-as ever, fundraisers.
