Who We Are
Match-Two, Inc. (M2 or Match-Two Mentoring Outreach) is a community based 501(c)(3) organization that matches community volunteer-mentors with youth in County Juvenile Correctional Facilities and Youth Boot Camps.
Our Vision
M2 Mentoring:
Empowers inmates to choose a new lifestyle that does not include crime.
Enables inmates to apply critical thinking, make good choices, and take responsibility for their decisions. Equips inmates to become productive citizens.
Educates the community by stimulating changes in attitudes toward incarceration vs. rehabilitation.
Types Of Activity
M2 Mentoring Outreach matches community volunteers as positive mentors to at risk youth incarcerated in California. We match men to men and women to women. The incarcerated apply for our program. Each youth who requests a mentor qualifies for one.
Location
Typically, the visitation takes place in a controlled visiting setting with correctional staff present. We operate programs and work with: The Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (Division of Juvenile Justice), and County Department of Probations. These programs are all operated in the State of California.
